Economie Combinatie Utrecht 1992 is traditionally the study association for students of the Utrecht University School of Economics (USE). Like the name of the association already indicates, it was founded in 1992. Currently the association has about 1300 members. ECU’92 organizes parties, drinks, a company day, a study trip, a conference and other activities for their members. In this way ECU’92 fur fills its four objectives:• Promoting the social connections between the economics students at the University of Utrecht
• Improving the quality of the education at the Utrecht School of Economics.
• Reducing the gap between academic theory and practice
• Improving the relationship between alumni mutually and between the alumni and the Study Association ECU’92, respectively the University of Utrecht Following these objectives the study association gives students the possibility to get to know each other and to gain experience in areas relevant to their study. For all the activities which are organized and newsletters which are made the study association relies heavily on their 120 active members. With two board rooms, one at the education location and one at the faculty bureau ECU’92 is able to contribute substantially to the quality of education at USE. ECU’92 is in constant contact and cooperation with the faculty and this is one of its key factors of its success.
